This paper discusses a study on professional employability programs for beginner teachers. It considers such questions: What programs are there? How are they organized? What is the impact of these programs on school improvement? The aim of this study is to analyze the scientific production at the IV Congreprinci (2014), in order to seek some answers to the questions above. Taking into consideration the works published in event Annals, six articles were taken as the focus for analysis, referring to the develop-ment and evaluation of professional employability programs for beginner teachers and the effects of these programs on school improvement. Authors such as André (2012), Gatti (2012), Marcelo Garcia (1999, 2008), Romanowski (2012), were the theoretical support. The results revealed there are few professional employa-bility programs, highlighting the need to expand research on the subject and to propose more effective actions involving schools, teaching systems and universities that contribute to promote the professional development of teachers.
