TEACHING RESIDENCY IN THE PEDAGOGICAL CENTER OF UFMG: TEACHING AS AN OBJECT OF REFLECTION
Abstract
The course Teaching Residency - Pedagogical Center / UFMG acts in the continuous training of teachers in exercise in public schools, from experiences and reflections on pedagogical practice in its theoretical and practical dimensions. In its two editions - improvement (Contagem/MG, 2014/2015) and specialization (Belo Horizonte/MG, 2018/2020), it maintained the intention to provide conditions for reflection - action - reflection, personal and professional development, changes in teaching practice, and, in a larger spectrum, changes in the resident's home school institution. We highlight the structuring character of the analysis of the pedagogical practice itself, whether of the resident or the supervising researcher, the dialogical relationship between different school contexts and the collaborative process from the perspective of reconstruction of the school culture. The Teaching Residency, in addition to reaffirming the social role of the Pedagogical Center/UFMG with the Public Education Network, moves, in an integrated way, teaching, research and extension.
