Abstract

This paper discusses research findings whose production is linked to the document “Draft Youth and Adults” (EJA in Portuguese), which describes a proposal for EJA in Divinópolis/MG municipal education. However, its analysis shows that it was prepared by a committee of teachers who do not discuss their own work or the issues drafted in the text. From the entire process, only the product resulted. The main question then turned to the unveiling of the education experiences of these individuals. In order to achieve them, in view of the perspective given by time, it is necessary to unveil the memories of those historical actors, which have been partly achieved by the analysis of written narratives. However, the need of scrutinizing these reports made them to be gathered in group discussions and the findings of these groups are discussed in this article. The most important one is the outline of the EJA forums as spaces for teacher training, and to understand them as such leads to a discussion about the concept of training, the methodology of group discussion and the history of EJA forums in Brazil.
