In this work, we analyze the profile of professors from 5 Degree courses in Physics in Rio Grande do Norte. In parallel, we developed a scale to analyze the motivational quality of graduates. We start from the question: is it possible to infer any influence of the profile of the professors on the motivation of undergraduates for teaching? We aim to build a profile of the professors and analyze whether this profile influences the motivation of undergraduates to teach. We work on two fronts: i) a documentary one, in which we seek to: know the degree courses in RN; the composition of its collegiate bodies; and the profile of these collegiate bodies; ii) the other dealt with the elaboration and validation of a scale of motivation of the graduates. As a result, we report the conclusion that, apparently, the history and academic performance of the professors staff do not have a strong impact on the motivation of the undergraduate students.
