Abstract

 This article addresses a reflection on teacher training, focusing on the construction of knowledge, the pedagogical dimension and the didactic use of technological resources. The current conception of technique, with a positivist bias, appears curiously married to the theoretical relativism tendency of the so-called “post-modernity”. Such a relationship tends, in practice, to place this conception of technique at the helm of the teaching and learning process, veiling the political dimension of the educational process. In distance learning courses, this trend may worsen due to the greater participation of technological resources aimed at education. As a possibility of facing these contradictions, the article encourages the need to resume a broader reflection on school and formal education, including the teaching role.
